Then everything works automatically, when the device goes into stand-by, just push the black rubber nipple slightly to the side at the top of the device so that the clips open more easily. then open the clasps and everything is ready, the air is out of the bag and it is sealed. Other bags, e.g. sweets, can also be closed again and nothing dries out. All in all, very easy to use.
