[High precision installation of Polarie U with easy operation] This is a set of polar axis telescope PF-LII and Gokubo arm PU. Suitable when high precision is required for polar axis setting, such as when shooting with a telephoto lens. By introducing the North Star and two nearby stars (total of 3 stars) into the designated positions on the built-in scale, you can easily align the polar axis with an accuracy of within 3 arc minutes. (For the Northern Hemisphere. For the Southern Hemisphere, the three stars in the Octant constellation are also used.)
[Information collected on the built-in scale, comfortable settings while looking through] Since the built-in scale collects the position information of the stars used for polar axis alignment, there is no need to read the hour angle scale set on the outside of a conventional polar axis telescope in a dark observation site. You can use it comfortably while looking into the field of view of the polar axis telescope.
[Darkfield illumination (with auto-off function)] Built-in darkfield illumination (red LED) that can be easily turned on with a single button. Unlike the bright-field illumination method, which brightens the field of view and allows you to see the scale as a silhouette, the scale itself glows red, so dark stars do not become hidden in the background. The brightness is variable in 8 steps, so you can use it at your desired brightness. Furthermore, since the light automatically turns off (gradually dims) after 1-2 minutes, you can prevent forgetting to turn it off after use.
[Equipped with 3/8 inch spare screw hole] The included polar axis telescope arm PU is equipped with two 3/8 inch spare screws, so if you are not using the 1/4-3/8 inch conversion screw that comes with Polarie U, you can screw it here and store it to help prevent loss.
